Krakow, which has been the Little Polish Voivodes’ capital since 1999, is also the second-largest city in the country. At the foot of Wawel Hill of the Vistula River, the city is traditionally known as the country’s science, culture and arts center. It is also known as Poland’s heart, as it is the old capital and witnesses various historical events. Krakow, which some historians refer to as the place where life began on Polish soil, is a holiday destination with its charming cobblestone streets, old buildings painted in every color, beautiful historical buildings that will conquer your heart, and fairy-tale lands. Thanks to these beauties, the city was declared the European Capital of Culture in 2000 and UNESCO’s City of Literature in 2013. If you spend 2-3 days to visit Krakow, you can see unforgettable places. We can call Rynek Glowny for the best place to start exploring Krakow. Rynek Glowny, one of Europe’s oldest and largest squares, allows you to spend pleasant hours with its churches, bazaars, restaurants, Baroque and Gothic architecture. The Basilica of Saint Mary is one of the most magnificent works of Christianity built in Gothic architecture and was one of the main places I wanted to see on my to-do list. In a word, you will realize that it is perfect architecture when you go. Krakow, which has lovely nightlife, is definitely one of the main cities you can visit in Europe. Even Adolf Hitler found this city too beautiful to touch and did not allow any damage to this city, but the psychological and physical effects of the Second World War affected the whole town. You can especially see the concentration camps in Krakow. I was fortunate as a student in Krakow; I hope this article will inspire everyone.

Krakow, the charming and glamorous city of Eastern Europe, is located in Poland’s Little Polish Voivodeship.
