In the same dream I’ve seen more than once in the past, I held Horus’ Eye in my hand as a symbol, and I wanted it to be my guide. In this article, I want to make a brief debrief and offer ideas about this symbol which entered my dreams and I\u00a0 felt so close, also I came across somewhere because of my interest in mythology.<\/p>\n

The Horus\u2019 Eye\u00a0 that came across in the ancient Egypt myths and descriptions symbolizes a mystic\u00a0 third eye. Horus and Ra, who seen as a reflection of all other believed Gods, were accepted as a Thunder God. Described as the child of Osiris and Iris, Horus lost his one eye in his war with his uncle Seth. The God of Wisdom, Thoth completed the missing piece in the reconstruction of the Eye of Horus within his magical power. In the myths, Horus is portrayed as a god who can see all and hawk-headed, sharp eyeshadows like predators. That Eye which see all is represents enlightenment, waking mind also eye of soul and consciousness.<\/p>\n

Magically restored eye has healing and protective power for the Ancient Egyptians. The sacred eye of Horus symbolizes the Moon and the Sun which illuminating the World. Because of this citation, maybe it represents the eye of the conscience that exists in the spirituality of human and never sleeps. How the Sun and the Moon follow the World always with a keen look; human\u2019s conscience is also human\u2019s own sun. So, in some sources, this symbol is the eye of Ra who was considered the Sun God in Ancient Egypt.<\/p>\n

Secrets in Horus\u2019s Eyes<\/strong><\/p>\n

In Ancient Egyptian depictions, the eye of Horus was not only a divine symbol, but also a mathematical proof of God’s uniqueness.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the myth mentioned before, Set tore Horus\u2019 eye into six parts. As a symbol, the Eye of Horus contains six parts. Each of them was given a fraction as a unit of measurement \u2013 the right side of the eye is 1\/2, the pupil 1\/4, the eyebrow 1\/8, the left side of the eye 1\/16, the curved tail 1\/32, and the teardrop 1\/64. These fractions add up to 63\/64.\u201d\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

Here, Thoth completed in a magical way the remaining missing piece to become one. But when we look result, it can be said that a whole can begin to divide, but it can never be completed in total.\u00a0 The one is only God and no one else is perfect.<\/p>\n

My conclusion in the light of this information is that Horus’s Eye, that is, our conscience, must be vigilant like a judge for both our own life and the events around us. We must believe in the guidance of the Sun and the Moon within us, and remember that the magical powers of Thoth are our own intuition and belief. Only in this way\u00a0 we can spark our own sacred fire before it goes out.<\/p>\n
