SCUBA 101: Being A Diver

So, how can I be a diver?

Diving tourism and diving sport, which have become widespread in the last decade, attract almost everyone’s attention. Being at sea, especially diving, is undoubtedly one of the most liberating feelings in the world.

Diving is a passion for some and an experience for others. So, how can we be divers under any circumstances, how do we start, let’s see together!

Scuba diving is an instrumental dive performed by breathing tubes filled with high-pressure air without being dependent on the surface. In order to be able to scuba dive, it is necessary to take a number of important pieces of training. Firstly, it is necessary to be at least 14 years old. Anyone who does not have a health problem that prevents diving can start the sport of diving.

One of the golden rules of underwater is “never to hold your breath”.

Diving training begins with an initial level of training. Those who successfully complete this training will be informed about the theoretical issues related to diving. A diver who has completed the training is a diver who can properly wear and remove all of the diving equipment, use them correctly underwater and dive.

In short, when the initial training is completed, the diver becomes self-sufficient.

If you have completed this training, you can dive anywhere in the world with at least three-star divers or an instructor. The diver license you receive will be internationally valid licenses.

You can get this training by contacting an official diving center or diving school in your location.

Should we buy equipment?

The equipment used in diving is a very curious issue. Should we buy them ourselves, or will the diving school provide the equipment for us? Initially, it is not recommended to buy equipment. Because the institution that has already made you dive will provide this equipment for you. So you just have to go with your towels and swimsuit. If you enjoy diving and think about progress, of course, acquiring your own equipment over time will give you comfort.

Diving training starts with theoretical courses. It contains elements such as taking lessons in a classroom environment, studying with a book or electronic environment and taking an exam. After that, limited water training and skill exercises are performed. This is the practical training process. Skills are also repeated in sea, lasting until divers dominate and relax. The instructor who gives your course will issue your license after making sure that you have done all the skills and knowledge. How much you dive and how often you dive after these training is the main determinant of your development.

Respect nature!

Finally, being a conscious diver is extremely important. We’re visitors in this underwater environment that’s not our own. And no matter what happens, we have to respect the underwater and the vitality there, as it should be everywhere. We shouldn’t take a seashell we saw with us as a souvenir. Think of it as stealing the ashtray from a house where you’re visiting. So it is extremely important that people who are in this consciousness are divers.

After all, we’re guests there. All we can take with us are good memories.
