The Serial Killer in US

Throughout history, we hear about serial killers. The horror movies inspired from these people, and how they are actually one of us. In this writing, we will briefly study a few of them. Here are some of the deadliest serial killers in the US.

Samuel Little

According to FBI, Samuel Little is the wildest serial killer in the history of America. He killed a number of 93 women by strangulation. Little, who has been behind bars in California since 2012, claimed he killed 93 women between the years of 1970-2005. FBI stated that Little would draw portraits of 30 of his victims, and most of the women were black. When the allegations were officially confirmed, it is stated that Samuel Little is considered the deadliest serial killer in the history of America.

Zodiac

The second serial killer, is the Zodiac. We don’t actually know who the Zodiac truly is, we only know him from his letters that open with “This is the Zodiac speaking…”. Generally speaking, he killed people in California, in between the years of 1968 and 1969. He/she claimed to have murdered 37 people, but only 7 are confirmed by police. They sent the letters to the news and these letters are typically encoded; only 2 of those letters have been decoded. Although security forces have inquired into Zodiac, there was no tangible information about him.

Joseph DeAngelo

(Joseph DeAngelo)

Joseph DeAngelo has been held accountable for 50 counts of rape, 120 robberies, and 13 counts of homicide between the years of 1973 and 1986. He is an ex police officer, but is better known as the murderer of the Golden State. DeAngelo is currently serving 12 life sentences, without parole.

 Theodore Robert Bundy

Ted Bundy was both a serial killer, and a rapist. He kidnapped many women in various parts of the US; raping and then murdering them.. The official number of people that he killed is still unknown, but before his execution, he confessed that he had murdered 30 people. Bundy is considered as the prime example of a serial killer.

Though his homicides were brutal, in society he was considered a well-known, well-educated, and quite a gentleman. Biographer, Ann Rule, says that Bundy was a sociopathic man who took pleasure from others’ pains and even their actual point of death . He would typically approach his victims in public places, feigning injury or disability, or impersonating an authority figure, before knocking them unconscious and taking them to secluded locations to rape and strangle them. Sometimes, he would revisit the places where he killed people, because he would rape the corpses (which were unrecognisable by rotting). Bundy beheaded at least 12 victims and brought their skulls home, where he treasured them. There are many names that he used, such as: Chris Hagen, Kenneth Misner, Officer Roseland, Richard Burton, Rolf Miller.

He succeeded in escaping from prison twice whilst incarcerated. Bundy was eventually executed in the electric chair at Florida State Prison in Raiford Florida, on January 24, 1989.
