TOP SCUBA DIVING DESTINATIONS – In The World

Scuba diving continues to be a growing sport that attracts attention. It seems that this interest will continue, even increase, for a long time.  In our previous articles, we had some information about diving and how to start diving. Now we’ll look at the most popular diving locations in the world. Even if we can’t go now, maybe one day we can.

Ras Mohammed National Park – Red Sea – Egypt

The first country that comes to mind when it comes to diving is the Red Sea in Egypt. Egypt, which is the most developed country in diving tourism, adorns the dreams of all divers. Noted for its rich underwater life and located in the Ras Mohammed area on the Red Sea, the area is a popular diving point. This underwater adventure, where you can see thousands of clownfish and witness the sinking cargo ship Yolanda with the toilets it carries, is a dive that every underwater passion must experience.

Underwater Museum Of Cancun-Mexico

Cancun, one of the most vibrant cities in Mexico with its beaches stretching to the Caribbean Sea, is home to one of the world’s largest underwater sculpture museums. There are about 450 life-sized human figures placed just off the sea, at depths ranging from 4 to 8 meters. The collection, whose total weight exceeds 200 tons, spreads to a barren sea bed of 420 M2. Thanks to its special material, it adapts to natural life and acts as an artificial reef. This eco-friendly museum has also been a way for corals to find life again and get away from human harm.

Cocos Islands – Costa Rica

Cocos Island is located in the Pacific Ocean, 300 miles southwest of Costa Rica. Underwater, Cocos can encounter numerous whitefin reef sharks, herds of hammerhead sharks, dolphins, manta rays and marbled rays, giant moray sharks, and whale sharks that sometimes visit the area. Cocos Island is also home to 27 species of endemic fish, including the exotic red-lipped batfish. If you want to get a colorful and unique underwater experience and meet new endemic friends, you can note this address.

Sipadan, Malaysia

This extinct volcano makes stunning wall dives possible, with cliffs descending directly into the mesopelagic area thousands of meters below. It is also known as Jacques Cousteau’s favorite diving destination. You can swim on your back in glass-clear blue waters and see herds of cattle. With a reef dive, you can also see hundreds of Hawk-billed turtles, scythes, hammerhead sharks, ghost stingrays, and whale sharks. The diversity of living things is so great that you may never forget the kind of living things you see again.

Bonus: Manta Ray Night Dive, Hawaii

Manta Rays, which live in the waters surrounding the Big Island, are the second largest species of Manta Rays on the planet. Although they have a wingspan of 12 feet, the most thing you’ll see in this area, they can grow to a surprising 18-foot wingspan. Animals eat plankton, which they filter out of the water by swimming with their large mouths open. After dark from the “feeding stations” where bright lights shoot the Rays, you’ll see them gracefully pulling them as they feed, spin and somersault in the beams of light for an incredibly surreal experience.
