A few weeks after its premiere, an excessive popularity has been evidenced with respect to the plot of the current Netflix series: Bridgerton. Due to its original argument, it has been gaining followers and new readers. The fruits are visible to everyone’s eyes. Do we melt in love?

 

What is the mysterious story that has captivated the viewers?

Well let’s get started! Bridgerton portrays the competitions between members of high society during the Regency period, at the time of the year in which the daughters of the wealthiest families were presented before the Court to arrange their marriages with young aristocrats, under the scrutiny of their mothers.

The story is set between the years 1813 and 1827. It should be noted that the content is a collection of eight novels, each of which describes the life of one of the eight children of the late Viscount Bridgerton in London high society: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory and Hyacinth. As a result, it is very likely that in the future the series will be renewed and we could watch seven more seasons in relation to the charming plot of the Julia Quinn’s books.

Bridgerton has shown different scenarios where they mix ancient tropes and different personalities and sensibilities of Shondaland to make a formidable love union. Likewise, the story shows us a great diversity in the racial and physical features in the characters. While Julia Quinn’s book saga has been successful beginning in the 2000s; with the premiere of the series, the number of readers has increased in relation to its set of novels.

For now, the first season has focused on the first novel, The Duke and I.
