El Autobus

In 1925, artist Frida Kahlo was involved in a bus accident that permanently damaged her. After this grave accident, Kahlo devoted herself to painting and four years after the accident she painted El Autobus (Bus). Besides the painting includes people of all social status, looking more deeply, the painting seems to refer to the accident that took place in 1925. The woman sitting in the right corner is believed to be Kahlo herself, and the blue working man represents the man who pulled an iron handrail from Kahlo's stomach after the accident. You can see this painting at the Dolores Olmedo Patiño Museum.

You can visit this painting at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.

You can go and see this painting at the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
