MOVIE RECOMMENDATIONS FOR A LAZY SUNDAY

Vicky Cristina Barcelona (2008)

American Vicky and Cristina, on a summer vacation in Spain, are influenced by a mysterious Spanish artist who comes across them. They are swimming in dangerous waters with the flamboyant artist (Javier Bardem) and his beautiful ex-wife (Penélope Cruz). A forbidden love affair born between three people whose fates intersect will have chaotic consequences.

Letters to Juliet (2010)

Sophie, a woman who wants to be a writer, travels with her fiance to Verona, Italy, before a honeymoon. Among the sights, she finds the “Secretaries of Juliet”. There, women write to women who leave letters to Juliet for love advice. When she receives the letters, she finds one written fifty years ago. As a believer in true love, she writes, hoping to give the girl the answer she was looking for a long time ago.

Soul (2020)

Middle school music teacher Joe Gardner dreams of becoming a jazz pianist, working with a jazz band. Wandering the streets of New York, Joe suddenly finds himself falling into the sewer. But this place is actually opening up to a different world. Soul also won the Best Animation Award at the 93rd Academy Awards this year.

Knives Out (2019)

The family of Harlan Thrombey, a wealthy novelist, had their father’s 85th birthday at their mansion. they throw a birthday party. The next morning, Harlan’s housekeeper, Fran, finds him dead with his throat slit. Police believe Harlan’s death was a suicide, but want private investigator Benoît Blanc to investigate the case in more detail.
