Everyone deserves to have fun after a long week. Watching movies is the easiest way to have fun under pandemic conditions. So here are 5 chill movies.

 

5) Bliss

Starring Owen Wilson and Selma Hayek, Bliss is written and directed by Mike Cahill. An extraordinary love story between Isabel, a homeless woman who thinks the world is nothing more than a simulation, and Greg, who is recently fired and divorced. It is very deep, tackles troubled family relationships and real-life problems. You can watch it on Prime Video.

 

4) Chemical Hearts

Chemical Hearts is based on the book by Kristen Sutherland. It is a coming-of-age teenage drama starring Lili Reinhart. Reinhart plays a traumatized high school student Grace. She meets her classmate Henry and it just completely changes her life. 

3) Rush

Starring Thor’s Liam Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl. The movie tells the story of competition between Formula 1 drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda. The Ferrari used by Niki Lauda (Daniel Brühl) in the German Grand Prix race in 1976 was out of the race due to a tragic accident at the end of the second round, and the first place wins its arch-rival(James Hunt). The plot focuses on what happens between them.

2) Palm Springs

Directed by Max Barbakow, Palm Springs is a thought-provoking, funny Sci-Fi movie. Stuck in a time loop, two wedding guests (Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti) start falling for each other while living the same day over and over again.

 

1) Soul

2020 made Disney animation Soul is a fantasy comedy-drama. It tells the story of a middle school music teacher to achieve his dream of becoming a Jazz musician. In doing so, he touches on themes such as the beginning of life and death, people’s souls, and personalities.
