The Addams Family Fans Are In Love With Wednesday Netflix Series

Wednesday, the new Netflix series about the teen from The Addams family has conquered the audience and became a hit surpassing the previous record of the 4th season of Stranger Things.

The Tim Burton’s “Addams Family”-inspired live-action series spin-off, premiered on November 23th, a Wednesday, and rose to Netflix’s Top 10 chart for the week of Nov. 21-27 with 341.2 million hours viewed, holding the record for most hours viewed in a week for an English-language series on the popular streaming platform.

Besides this astonishing number, Wednesday also got to number 1 in 83 countries on Netflix.

Starring Jenna Ortega, viewers are obsessed with the 20th-year-old North-American actress who choreographed her Wednesday iconic dance that’s taking over TikTok. TikTok users have flooded in with videos of themselves trying to replicate the dance’s moves.

Additionally, the series has a top-tier cast including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Gwendoline Christie, Luis Guzmán, Christina Ricci, Emma Myers, and more. Yes, Christina Ricci who interpreted Wednesday Addams back in 1991 is also on the show, this time as Mrs. Marilyn Thornhill, the only “normal” teacher at the Academy.

The series focuses on the moment the most popular goth teen, named Wednesday, enters Nevermore Academy, a school for outcasts where she will face monsters, learn to use her psychic powers, and try to solve a mystery that involves her parents.
