Living a Cruelty-Free Life
If you love and care for animals, one of the best things you could do for them is to use cruelty-free products. In our daily life, we use many products, especially cosmetics. What we haven’t been taught about these products is that most of them are being tested on animals. Even if they are not tested during the production, they may contain raw materials that were tested on animals. You should be careful of the brands you use in your daily life to be there for these poor animals.
What Can You Do?
First of all, understand the reason for you to change your products and lifestyle. Then, you can do some research on the brands you’ve been using and get used to. You may try to find cruelty-free versions of them. There are many websites, apps, and blogs that can help you during your journey. You may be shocked when you realize how most of the big and important brands are using animals for their testing.
How to Identify the Brands?
After you go through websites and blogs you will be able to remember the ones that are cruelty-free and the ones that are not. Also, there are lots of apps that show whether a product was tested on animals. You can download one of them and find out just by scanning the code. There are certificates to help you understand which brands are on the same page as you. However, you should be very careful with the certificates you are using. This is because there are some certificates that are not reliable as the others. Lastly, if you cannot find any information, you can always get into contact with the brand and ask them whether they are testing on animals, use tested raw materials, or sell their products in China.
Why China?
Different from other countries, in China, even though a product was not tested or has a tested raw material in them, it can be tested on animals after a few complaints about it. Therefore, unfortunately, brands that sell their products in China are not considered cruelty-free.
